“Date Hider for YouTube” (the “Extension”) is a Google Chrome extension for desktop. On YouTube, it hides only the upload date of videos published before a period you choose. This policy explains what information the Extension handles.
To decide whether to hide an upload date, the Extension reads the upload-date text shown on YouTube www.youtube.com pages. This text is used only on your device. It is never stored or sent anywhere.
The Extension also saves the following settings, which you choose, in the browser’s extension storage (chrome.storage.local):
No other information is saved. These settings are not synced with your Google account or other devices.
In connection with the use of the Extension, we do not collect the following information:
The Extension itself does not connect to any external server.
We do not provide or disclose your data to any third party. Nothing is used for advertising, tracking or analytics.
Settings are stored only in your browser. They are overwritten when you change them in the settings popup, and deleted when you uninstall the Extension.
The Extension uses only the minimum permissions it needs:
We may update this policy when needed. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date on this page.
Please contact us through the inquiry form. Only when you contact us, we obtain the content of your inquiry (including any information you choose to write in it). If you enter a reply-to email address, we also obtain that address.
We use the information we obtain only to reply to and contact you about your inquiry, and to improve the Extension and investigate bugs. Inquiry information is sent and stored through Google Forms, and the developer does not provide or disclose it to any third party.
Inquiry information is kept for as long as needed to respond to the inquiry or investigate a bug, and is deleted when it is no longer needed. If you would like it deleted, please contact us through the inquiry form. We cannot delete the information if we cannot identify it, and we cannot notify you of the result if you did not provide a reply-to email address.
